Houston Software Engineer Quits, Joins Wife in Handmade Textile Business

What better reason for a midlife career change than true love? A Houston, TX software engineer quit his 28-year career to start a home-based business with his wife, a native of Thailand, so that they could spend more time together. David Middleton and his wife, Ann, started the business distributing handmade scarves and wraps after finding inspiration in a 2008 trip to Ann's homeland. From the article:

“We said, 'What can we do together?' and had a lightbulb moment. We liked the idea of mixing Ann’s creative talent with my business experience,” Middleton says.
